FRANCINE'S GARDEN
Francine’s Garden is a poverty intervention program in response to requests from
the Haitian community to assist with food production for consumption and sale. The garden vegetables grown will create sustainability and therefore deter people from tree cutting. The overall goal is to distribute a cost-effective, cooperative vegetable garden concept in Haiti that provides sustainable nutrition, improves the economy, and gives back to the environment through the sharing of resources such as training, supplies, water and profits from family owned and operated vegetable gardens.
